InnoTrans 2020: The new subject area of Mobility+ points the way forward for the future of interconnected mobility
Commuting to the city centre on a suburban train, continuing the journey by e-scooter, hire bike or car share, and using an app to make all the bookings – interconnected mobility offers many ways of making local public transport more efficient, more comfortable and thus more customer-friendly. And as part of this process, the “last mile” is becoming increasingly important, bringing travellers not only to the next station, but onwards to their final destination.
With its new section devoted to the subject of Mobility+, InnoTrans is concentrating in particular on the providers of supplementary mobility services. Mobility+ forms a new topic within the Public Transport segment, concentrating on shared mobility, combined mobility and digital mobility platforms. “As the world’s largest trade show for transport technology and featuring concepts and systems for all modes of transport, InnoTrans is the ideal platform for presenting your own products and services. It is the meeting place for international transport enterprises, linked transport networks and public administration, as well as for leading experts from all over the world. InnoTrans is a display for professionals in the mobility sector – making it the perfect place for new business and new stakeholders seeking to establish themselves in the mobility sector”, according to the director of InnoTrans, Kerstin Schulz.
The new display area has been incorporated in the Public Transport segment in Hall 7.1 and will be making its debut at the coming InnoTrans. Potential exhibitors have until 20 September 2019 to reserve a stand in the Mobility+ section.
InnoTrans is the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology and takes place every two years in Berlin. At the last event 3,062 exhibitors from 61 countries presented the global rail industry’s innovations to 153,421 trade visitors who came from 149 countries. The five segments at InnoTrans are Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. InnoTrans is organised by Messe Berlin. The thirteenth edition of InnoTrans will take place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 22 to 25 September 2020. More details are available online at www.innotrans.com.
