InnoTrans Campus kickstarts careers

• 3,500 students, 57 Career Points and 244 Job Wall vacancies
• Eurailpress Career Boost ensures a successful job search

Students, young professionals and prospective employers from around the world come together at the InnoTrans Campus at the leading trade show for transport technology and mobility. In 2022, 3,500 students from 38 countries took the opportunity to establish important links with international companies.

19 exhibitors were represented at the InnoTrans Campus and 57 companies also featured the Career Point logo. These exhibitors were visited three times daily by career tours, in which 185 young professionals and job seekers took part during the fair.

Ideal conditions for young professionals and companies

“With its comprehensive career concept, InnoTrans offers a uniquely wide range of dedicated services in order to bring specialists and exhibitors together. At InnoTrans, young professionals can establish important links with international companies in many ways: by making use of the Job Wall both online and at the fair, visiting featured ’Career Point’ exhibitors, taking part in guided career tours, attending the Talent Stage’s company and job presentations, visiting the themed exhibition area supporting young professionals, undertaking a career and job search, or by introducing themselves personally with a pitch at the Eurailpress Career Boost. One particular highlight is that young professionals can contact companies directly at InnoTrans in order to gain a personal impression of them”, said Kerstin Schulz, director of InnoTrans.

In association with Eurailpress, a DVV Media Group brand, the Career Boost elevator pitch format took place for the first time at InnoTrans 2022. 17 candidates in five categories (technical careers, engineers, IT experts, operational and commercial careers) introduced themselves in 90-second pitches on the Talent Stage, with successful results. Following the Eurailpress Career Boost four participants were able to find new jobs.

Career Boost to take place again in 2024

“The Career Boost was an outstanding platform, and I hope it will take place again in the years to come", said Fayad Samad, who after taking part in the event received a work placement at Alstom which he concluded in March 2023. At the beginning of April he began working as a systems engineer at Alstom. “The entire format was a great experience for us too, and we would be delighted to continue the partnership in 2024 in Berlin“, said Daniela Hennig, event manager at DVV Media Group.

The Career Boost, the Job Wall with 244 vacancies as well as the Career Award, which in 2022 honoured 20 winners from countries including Australia, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, USA and Germany, demonstrated that at the InnoTrans Campus the focus is entirely on supporting young professionals and recruiting. The same will apply in 2024, when InnoTrans takes place from 24 to 27 September on the exhibition grounds.
