Ideally suited to the dynamic conditions of rail transport

The provision of high-quality hot beverages in rail transport requires high technical standards.

With the S2 Railway, Rex-Royal AG has developed a coffee machine which is designed for robustness, operational safety and compliance with railway-specific standards. The integrated steam lance ‘PowerSteam’ ensures barista-quality textured milk foam. The S2 Railway is designed for the special conditions in railway transport, where appliances are exposed to shocks, vibrations and voltage fluctuations. Its vibrationtested mounting frame stabilises the internal components and ensures a long service life. The machine fulfils key railway-specific standards such as EN 45545-2 HL3 (fire protection), EN 50155 and EN 50121 (EMC). This ensures safe, trouble-free operation under demanding mobile conditions. The high output speed in combination with low maintenance requirements keeps on-board service efficient and reliable.

A key feature of the PowerSteam system is the automatic steam lance made of the high-performance material PEEK, which offers a hygienic, non-stick surface and enables the user to switch between different types of milk – including plant-based alternatives – without flavour transfer. The thermal insulation of the material also increases operational safety. The temperature and foam density can be individually set and saved via the intuitive user interface. This ensures consistency of quality at all service points and reduces training requirements for employees. Rex-Royal not only offers machine technology but also provides comprehensive support for railway projects from integration into galleys to technical advice and assistance with approval processes as well.
