InnoTrans 2026 (September 22–25) will showcase, within the Public Transport segment and through its growing focus areas Mobility+ and AI Mobility Lab, just how closely vehicles, infrastructure, and digital services are intertwined. From digital ticketing and intelligent traffic planning to accessible navigation and autonomous buses or rail vehicles, the world’s leading trade fair for transportation technology thus covers the entire spectrum of tomorrow’s public transportation.

A total of 414 exhibitors will present their products and solutions in the Public Transport segment across a gross exhibition area of around 20,000 square meters. Sixty-two percent of the exhibitors come from abroad, including companies from countries such as Lithuania, South Africa, and Hong Kong.

This year, the Mobility+ and AI Mobility Lab sections are a particular focus. Both platforms demonstrate how digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and new mobility concepts are transforming public transportation.

Artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, and digital services are opening up entirely new possibilities for making mobility more efficient, flexible, and customer-friendly. At InnoTrans, our trade visitors can not only discuss these developments but also experience concrete applications and solutions from around the world,” says Kerstin Schulz, Director of InnoTrans.

Exhibitors in the Public Transport segment include established industry leaders as well as specialists in digital mobility solutions. Scheidt & Bachmann presents solutions for connected public transportation. INIT Innovation in Traffic Systems SE showcases an AI-powered operating system for public transportation, while IVU Traffic Technologies AG presents applications for AI-optimized traffic planning. FAIRTIQ, one of Europe’s best-known digital ticketing systems, is also represented at InnoTrans.

Public transportation also comes to life right before your eyes on the bus display: Škoda Transportation a.s. and DB Regio AG are showcasing their vehicles in the famous Sommergarten.

The Mobility+ section focuses on digital and connected mobility services as well as new concepts for more flexible public transportation. Twenty-five companies are represented there – 14 of them for the first time.

MOIA showcases prospects for autonomous and on-demand public transit. RailEvo is pursuing a new approach to rail transport with autonomous on-demand rail taxis designed to enable flexible rail service around the clock. GoodMaps, meanwhile, uses artificial intelligence to improve accessibility in particular through precise navigation.

The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive program in the Mobility+ Corner. A total of 21 presentations will address current developments in new mobility services, digitalization, and the integration of different modes of transportation, fostering dialogue between companies and industry professionals.

InnoTrans 2026 will place an even greater focus on artificial intelligence with the AI Mobility Lab. There, 47 exhibitors will present technologies and applications in the fields of AI, automation, cybersecurity, and robotics. The proportion of new participants is particularly high here as well: 28 companies are exhibiting at InnoTrans for the first time.

Among the participants are SNCF Réseau, Boston Consulting Group, FORTINET, and IAV. Scout Robotics, for example, will demonstrate how AI and robotics can be used in practical rail operations with autonomous inspection and robotic solutions. Semvox develops AI-based assistance systems, while OTIV uses artificial intelligence for autonomous rail vehicles and automated train operations.

The program is complemented by guided themed tours that specifically visit exhibitors. For the first time in 2026, two tours focusing on robotics will also be offered. The number of tours on the topic of artificial intelligence will double to two.

InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology, held every two years in Berlin.
